Lacrosse Academy

Last summer, nine members of the Town of Hempstead Lacrosse Academy staff were graduates of the program itself, an indication of the lessons learned and the quality of the instruction provided at each clinic. Indeed, the Lacrosse Academy has grown up fast in its first ten years but the core principles are still firmly in place. The program emphasizes fundamentals and fun! Since its introduction TOHLA has always been the most enjoyable and affordable youth lacrosse league program on Long Island. From week-long clinics to small group lessons to one-on-one instruction, the Town of Hempstead Lacrosse Academy is determined to bolster skills and build confidence. TOHLA is staffed by homegrown collegiate All Americans and the region's finest high school and college coaches. Players receive expert instruction on passing, catching, shooting and defending. There is specialized goalie instruction as well. Summer 2015 clinic dates and times will be announced this spring. Clinics are open to Town of Hempstead youngsters from 5 to 15 years of age. For information on the Town of Hempstead Lacrosse Academy, call (516) 783-3208.

on the fundamentals of the sport, and have fun at the same time.
When it comes to lacrosse instruction, TOHLA is in a "class" by itself.
