Shake the Chill Off the Season with a New Furry Friend

When the weather outside is frightful, there's no better way to spend the holiday season than in your warm home with a new cat or dog to call your own! That is why the Town of Hempstead is providing a great holiday gift for America's largest township...free pet adoptions from November 21, 2015 to January 3, 2016.

Don't Get "Scrooged" - Bring Home a Pet for Free!

Shopping malls and department stores will all be offering discounts and specials on assorted gift items. But the best deal in town can be had at Hempstead's Animal Shelter. In addition to adoption fees being waived, all newly adopted pets will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated against rabies and microchipped, all free of charge. During the town's Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Program, all adoptions are free. What's more, Island Trees Veterinary Hospital in Hicksville, Dog Grooming by Rachel in Bellmore and Fido Fitness Club in Woodmere will be providing free gifts for each pet adopted from the town shelter during "Home for the Holidays."
