Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, Councilman James Darcy and Councilman Ed Ambrosino recently visited the Gateway Youth Outreach, providing a $25,000 grant to the Elmont organization.
Gateway Youth Outreach will receive a grant of $25,000 through Hempstead Town, helping the organization provide important programs and services to area youths, including counseling, after-school programs, peer group support and preparation for future employment.
“The Town of Hempstead is committed to providing every possible resource to prepare our young people for the future,” stated Murray. "We know that Gateway Youth Outreach will put this $25,000 grant to excellent use in local communities.”
"Gateway Youth Outreach is a very important community organization in the Town of Hempstead," said Councilman Darcy. Added Councilman Ambrosino, "Our children will benefit greatly from this grant funding."
