Hempstead Town Animal Shelter Offers Even More Free Love, Adoptions on June 22nd Include Bonus Gift from 1-800-FLOWERS.COM

The Summer of Love at the Hempstead Town Animal Shelter is already the place to get “free love” this summer, as all pet adoption fees are waived, including rabies vaccines, microchipping and spaying and neutering services. What’s more thanks to our generous sponsors, the Island Trees Veterinary Hospital of Hicksville and Dog Grooming by Rachel of Bellmore, all new pet adoptions include a free gift.

But the fun is going to get even better for one day only, as 1800-FLOWERS.COM is offering free floral arrangements to the first 10 pets adopted at the Hempstead Town Animal Shelter on Friday, June 22nd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The special free offer is part of 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s initiative, a “Summer of a Million Smiles,” which involves volunteer work and community outreach. For more information on the program, or to view the “smile counter,” visit the company’s website at www.1800flowers.com and click on Summer of a Million Smiles.

“We thank 1800-FLOWERS.COM for joining us for a special day during our Summer of Love Pet Adoption Program,” said Animal Shelter Director Cynthia Iacopella. “If you plan on adopting a cat or dog during the Summer of Love, we encourage you to make an adoption at our shelter on June 22nd to receive a bonus gift thanks to 1800-FLOWERS.COM.”

“As florists, we appreciate the opportunity to support our local communities. As such, our goal is to deliver as many smiles around the world as possible,” says Chris McCann, President of 1-800-FLOWERS.COM. “This year, we’re encouraging our customers, employees and local florists to send and share smiles throughout their community and beyond.”
